What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) position at Thriving Center Of Psychology?
Thriving Center of Psychology is hiring full-time, salaried Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) on a hybrid schedule, splitting the week between our Manhattan offices and remote work. This is a W2 role with benefits, a steady caseload we build with you, and a real clinical community.
You must already hold an active, clear New York LMFT license. We are unable to accept candidates still working toward licensure at this time.
\nWe are a top rated, clinician-led group practice founded by psychologists, with offices in Midtown and Soho. We built the practice we wanted to work in: real colleagues, real consultation, and the support to do excellent clinical work without carrying the business of a practice on your own.
Most therapist jobs today are 1099 contracts on telehealth platforms without community and you work largely alone. We are built the other way.
-
Salaried W2 role with benefits: not per-session contractor pay. You are an employee, with a real salary and real benefits.
-
Genuine clinical community: with required weekly case consultations alongside colleagues who care about the work.
-
Steady caseload we help build: so you spend your time with clients, not marketing yourself to find them.
-
Work that lasts: a balanced, sustainable caseload that protects your time and the quality of your care.
-
Hybrid, the best of both: split your week between our Manhattan offices and home, so you get real colleagues and real flexibility.
-
Onboarding that sets you up: professional headshots, a polished clinical profile, a feature on our website, and structured check-ins through your first weeks.
-
Provide psychotherapy to adults across a range of presenting concerns, in person and by telehealth.
-
Use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
-
Carry a sustainable caseload with the support of weekly case consultation.
-
Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation.
-
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of LCSW, LMHC, and LMFT clinicians.
-
A salary of $80,000 to $105,000 per year, plus a 5% performance bonus.
-
Full benefits: health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
-
A yearly CEU stipend, plus gym and fitness reimbursement.
-
Minimal paperwork: no insurance billing and no collections to chase.
-
Collaborative, weekly group case consultation plus one-on-one clinical support.
-
Standout onboarding and a real clinical community.
-
Two Manhattan offices, in Midtown and Soho, with a hybrid schedule.
-
An active and clear New York LMFT license.
-
A master's degree in marriage and family therapy.
-
At least 1 year of experience providing therapy to adults independently in outpatient.
-
Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, with a goal of seeing 27 clients per week.
-
Comfort carrying a full clinical caseload of adult clients.
-
A collaborative approach and a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
-
Experience delivering psychotherapy in person or by telehealth.
