Job Description
We are seeking individuals pursuing Georgia State Licensure as a LPC in Athens, GA. The LCMHC Associate at Thriveworks Counseling is a clinician-in-training position focused on providing mental health counseling under supervision while pursuing licensure.
The associate supports clients through evidence-based practices, conducting intakes, and diagnosing mental health issues, primarily anxiety and depression.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health counseling services to clients
- Conduct intakes and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with supervisors and other clinicians to ensure high-quality care
Requirements
- Pursuing Georgia State Licensure as a LPC
- Graduate of an approved 60-credit hour program
- Approved by the board as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
- Graduate or post-graduate work experience in a counseling setting treating depression and anxiety required
- Graduate or post-graduate work experience independently conducting intakes and diagnosing according to the current DSM under a licensed supervisor
