Job Duties and Responsibilities
Designing Solutions
Review, analyze & evaluate moderately complex business systems, applications, processes, data, and user needs
Refine user and functional requirements to guide development work
Create visual representations using diagrams, maps, and models to enhance analysis, understanding, and communication
Support change that is focused on maximizing business value and meeting user needs
Accountable for compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Quality Assurance
Design and execute moderately complex test strategies, plans, and cases
Identify and communicate the root cause of issues and defects
Collaborate with team to resolve issues and defects
Maintain effective and efficient testing methods, tools, and procedures
Data Management
Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity
Participate in Asset Management’s Data Governance Strategy
Contribute to maturing data management practices
Conduct moderately complex data research and mining to support business decisions
Team Collaboration
Participate in product planning and implementation
Decompose work by creating user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria
Participate in team development, maturity, and accountability
Provide basic business expertise and analysis to solve problems and remove roadblocks
Collaboration with Stakeholders and Business Partners
Contribute to effective and efficient communication and interactions for your team with stakeholders and business partners
Build relationships with key stakeholders
Learn key business systems, applications, processes, and data.
Work with subject matter experts to understand, capture, and communicate moderately complex business and user requirements
Additional Business Support
Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to intake, diagnose, and support resolution of business issues
Build and support business reporting
Create and execute moderately complex SQL queries

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
4-6 years of experience in the business system analyst field or related area
Technical expertise and strong understanding within multiple (3 ) functional areas
Moderate levels of analysis and independence
Solid working knowledge of systems design process and methodology as well as knowledge/use of systems tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with testing tools
Desired Job Qualifications:
Intermediate quality assurance/testing experience
Intermediate experience refining functional and user requirements
Basic Domain Expertise: Accounting, Investment/Asset Mgmt and related functions and data
Experience working in an agile environment, particularly on a Scrum Team
Intermediate SQL knowledge and experience
Experience with tools:
Jira, Xray, Miro, Visio, Microsoft 365 (including PowerBI, Excel, Power Query, Access, SharePoint)
Additional Information
This position requires you to work on-site in Appleton, WI or Minneapolis, MN on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $69,053.00 - $93,425.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
