Position Overview
The Project Coordinator - Security, supports the successful delivery of customer technology and security projects.
This is an early-career project coordination role working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Consultants, Account Managers, and customers. The Project Coordinator is the main point of contact for customers for the duration of the project and will need to drive the project to success through clear expectation setting, task management, and status updates. A Project Coordinator will communicate with and organize internal Thrive resources.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and interested in developing a career in IT project management, cybersecurity, or managed services.
- Create and maintain project schedules, task lists, and project documentation
- Track project milestones, deadlines, dependencies, and open items
- Coordinate meetings with customers, engineers, consultants, and internal teams
- Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project status updates
- Follow up with project team members to ensure assigned tasks stay on schedule
- Maintain accurate project information within Thrive’s project management systems
- Communicate project updates and action items to internal and external stakeholders
- Help identify potential delays or issues and escalate them to the Project Manager
- Assist with customer onboarding and transitions to Thrive managed services
- Support project closeout activities and ensure required documentation is completed
- Work with Account Managers, Engineers, Consultants, and other teams to keep projects moving forward
- Learn and develop an understanding of Thrive’s technology and security services
Basic Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, customer service, operations, IT support, professional services, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability and willingness to learn new technology and project management tools
- Interest in IT, cybersecurity, cloud technology, or managed service
Technical Knowledge
A basic understanding of technology concepts is preferred, but deep technical expertise is not required.
Exposure to any of the following is a plus:
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Microsoft Azure
- Networking
- Cybersecurity
- Disaster recovery
- Backup technologies
- Cloud computing
- Microsoft Server
- Managed IT services
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for an MSP, technology company, professional services organization, or IT department
- Experience coordinating projects, implementations, or customer engagements
- Experience using project management or ticketing platforms
- CompTIA, Microsoft, or other technology certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
