Thrive is accepting applications for full-time Employment Specialists in the Ames area.
Job duties would include:
- Helping those with disabilities/employment barriers learn and perform job duties
- Help with barrier identification and ideas to overcome them
- Ensure partnered employers have great employees
- Assist Thrive consumers in their roles so that they can “Thrive” in community employment
- Helping consumers build job skills
- Assist in resume completion and interview preparation
- Assist in conducting job searches and completing applications
- Marketing and communication with community businesses

Candidates for this position should have a bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience, preferably in human services, sociology, psychology, education, or a related field. Applicants must be able to pass a background check and complete all professional development standards required by the State of Iowa to be employed in a Community Rehabilitation Provider setting within the required timelines. Reliable transportation is required.
