Thrive Yoga — Membership Sales Associate (Part-Time)
Location: Rockville, MD Schedule: 16–24 hours/week (includes evenings and one weekend day per week)
Compensation: $22/hour performance-based bonuses
About Thrive Yoga
Thrive Yoga is a 20-year boutique yoga and wellness studio serving a thoughtful, loyal community in Rockville. Our clients value high-quality teaching, a welcoming environment, and a long-term approach to health and well-being.
This is not a high-volume gym. It’s a relationship-based business with strong retention, experienced teachers, and programs that go beyond the physical practice.
The Role
This is a sales-focused, client-facing role based in the studio.
You will be the first point of contact for many new students and will guide them—from their first visit through membership and program enrollment. You’ll play a direct role in growing membership and supporting the long-term success of the studio.
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys connecting with people, guiding decisions, and working toward clear goals in a professional, wellness-based environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Membership & Program Sales
- Lead consultative conversations with prospective clients and provide studio tours
- Convert intro offer students into memberships
- Drive enrollment into workshops, trainings, and specialty programs
Lead Follow-Up & CRM
- Follow up with prospects via phone, text, and email
- Track interactions and outcomes in Mindbody (or similar CRM)
In-Studio Experience
- Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable first point of contact
- Support check-in, account questions, and day-to-day front desk flow
- Build rapport with members to support retention and referrals
Events & Growth Initiatives
- Support info sessions, events, and membership drives
- Contribute to referral and review efforts (including 5-star Google reviews)
What Success Looks Like (First 30 Days)
- Confidently lead membership conversations and studio tours
- Achieve ~50% intro offer conversion rate
- Actively follow up with new leads and prospects
- Demonstrate clear understanding of Thrive’s offerings and client journey
- Contribute insights from client interactions to improve conversions and experience
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, hospitality, fitness, or another client-facing role
- Comfortable working toward goals and being accountable to results
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust quickly
- Organized and consistent with follow-up
- Experience with CRM systems (Mindbody or similar) preferred
Important: This is a professional sales role within a wellness setting. We are looking for someone who can balance warmth and relationship-building with clear communication and follow-through.
Who This Role Is For
You’ll likely do well here if you:
- Enjoy talking with people and helping them make decisions
- Like having clear goals and seeing your impact on results
- Can be both personable and professional in a wellness environment
- Want a part-time role that uses your communication and business skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $22/hour performance-based bonuses tied to membership and program sales
- Access to classes, trainings, and wellness programming
- Growth opportunity within a well-established, values-driven small business
- Retirement savings option for long-term employees
Final Note
You’ll be working with a community that values consistency, learning, and long-term health. The role requires presence, follow-through, and genuine interest in helping people find the right fit—not just making a quick sale.
If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships and contributing to a business in a meaningful way, we’d love to meet you
