Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure fidelity to care plans.
- Support children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through engaging teaching strategies tailored to their needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update personalized care plans that reflect each client’s evolving needs.
- Provide compassionate patient care by creating a positive, supportive environment that encourages growth and learning.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to adapt approaches for diverse learners.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and analyzing behavioral data to guide interventions.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and maintaining secure medical records.
