Schedule
Full-Time: 40 hours, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, typically between 7am-4pm
SUMMARY
The Dispensation Program Manager/Nurse Supervisor works under the direction of the Medical Services Director to implement and execute the dispensation program and on occasion provide medical care to patients and provide oversight of other nursing staff members. The DPM/NS will participate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Functions as the supervisor of medication monitoring, observation, inventory, and documentation and executes regimens as presented by licensed physicians. The DPM/NS will place a strong emphasis on wellness and prevention and help with all aspects of patient care relative to dispensation. The Dispensation Program Manager/Nurse Supervisor must possess a strong understanding of addiction and mental medicine and the ability to evaluate the needs of the patient.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise nursing staff in the dispensation program.
- Interview, hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and discipline employees in line with agency policies and applicable laws.
- Supervise and dispense MAT as prescribed, following agency policies and OTP regulations.
- Direct and supervise nursing staff in the dispensation program; assign duties based on licensure and experience.
- Ensure adequate daily staffing and provide coverage as needed.
- Oversee medication management, including daily narcotic inventory and checks of all medications.
- Administer or oversee administration of medications (e.g., naltrexone) and other prescribed treatments.
- Respond to illness or accidents; report incidents and complete documentation.
- Prepare and maintain medical support schedule; participate in on-call rotation.
OTHER REPSONSIBILTIES
- Serve as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Conduct or oversee required patient assessments: medical histories, vitals, labs (TB, HIV, HCV, etc.), communicable disease risk screenings, and physical health evaluations.
- Coordinate guest dosing for clients.
- Educate and counsel patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Maintain accurate patient care records per OASAS/OMH and agency standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education.
- Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State preferably with 1-2 years of supervisory experience required.
Preferred: experience in the Chemical Dependency and/or Mental Health field
Salary : $100,000 - $105,000
