Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, supports the Finance Department by performing duties related to the day to day functions.
Position Responsibilities
Direct Billing
- Track Authorizations for Day and Residential Services for Direct billing of Residential and Day Programs.
- Bill SCDDSN for State Funded attendance.
- Troubleshoot Billing Issues for Residential and Day Services. Re-bill for unpaid billing.
- Other duties as needed.
Daily/Finance Duties
- Recording daily deposits for Consumer Funds and Board deposits.
- Responsible for ordering office, cleaning and other supplies from our vendors.
- Monthly accounts payable reconciliations for vendor credit cards, Administrative p-card and other invoices.
- Stable Account Reconciliation – reconcile over 100 Stable accounts on a quarterly basis. Send out quarterly statements to families and guardians as requested.
- Collect SLP I Rent for two pertinent locations – record and give receipts for rent collected.
- Consumer Receivables – Daily tracking and monthly reconciliation for two accounts receivable accounts for monies owed to the Board by individuals.
- Postage Meter – Administration and operation – adding postage, ordering supplies.
- DOMA – Quality control on document scanning by reviewing for accuracy. Trouble shoot any DOMA issues. Create new procedures as needed for DOMA documents.
- Other duties as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Associate Degree in Business, Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in basic bookkeeping procedures and accounts payable
- Experience in working with Medicaid, Medicaid Billing, THERAP, DHHS Billing
- Ability to work closely and deal professionally with other employees
- Ability to follow instructions and work without direct supervision
- Ability to prepare reports and documents in an accurate and timely manner
- Willingness to accept responsibility
- Ability to organize work logically and schedule duties appropriately
- Good communication and writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with network computer and printers, facsimile machine, copier, postage machine, ten-key calculator and office telephone
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
