Thrive Tutoring is seeking skilled and passionate educators to join our growing team! We are currently hiring ACT and SAT Prep Tutors to work one-on-one with high school students preparing for college entrance exams. These roles focus on helping students in the greater Nashville area reach their full academic potential through expert test prep instruction and personalized support.
Thrive Tutoring is seeking experienced ACT prep tutors for students in the Hendersonville area. Thrive is seeking tutors with at least two years of experience *successfully* prepping students for the ACT.
Duties:
- Assess students’ current skill levels and identify areas for growth across English, Math, Reading, and Science sections (and optional Writing).
- Create engaging, targeted lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals, test date, and skill level.
- Deliver high-quality, one-on-one tutoring sessions with a focus on score improvement and confidence building.
- Travel to students' homes or agreed-upon public locations
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with Thrive team members, families, and students.
- Provide timely feedback and post-session notes to families, including performance updates and actionable strategies.
- Collaborate with the Thrive team to develop and adjust individualized prep plans based on student progress.
- Commit to tutoring through the student's full test prep timeline, including retesting if applicable.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching ACT/SAT prep or related academic content.
- Strong familiarity with ACT/SAT test formats, scoring, and test-taking strategies.
- Proven ability to boost student scores and performance on standardized tests.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust and rapport with high school students and families.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student homes or public locations for sessions.
- Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and academic backgrounds.
