Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in outpatient settings.
  • Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
  • Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, including EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation of patient information.
  • Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to promote patient safety.
  • Transfer patients using appropriate methods while adhering to manual handling safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, caregivers, and team members to coordinate care and provide education on health management.

Skills

  • Proven experience in Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine environments.
  • Strong background in medical-surgical care, geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or post-acute care settings.
  • Knowledge of Level I Trauma Center operations and inpatient/outpatient clinical workflows.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications in infection control or medical equipment operation are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health records management, and patient transfer methods.
  • Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients and those requiring sub-acute or outpatient care.
  • Excellent caregiver communication skills with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality compliance.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
