Job Description:

The Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient is responsible for positioning of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle in preparation for x-ray. The Diagnostic Technologist performs imaging procedures without requiring direct supervision, operates X-ray equipment, processes images and documents into PACS, and provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse. They may perform selected procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual.

Responsibilities:

• Obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining specimens including blood draws if qualified, preparing patients for clinician evaluation, and assisting clinician.
• Ensuring the area is orderly and well stocked with supplies and equipment. May also float to Main Radiology as needed.

Requirements:

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)
• Current CPR Certification
• California issued Fluoroscopy Permit
• Current ARRT licensure
• EPIC EMR experience
• Previous traveler experience preferred
