POSITION SUMMARY
As an Emergency Facilities Technician at Thrive, you will play a critical role in supporting the safety, functionality, and resident experience of our communities during after-hours operations. You are responsible for responding to emergency calls, stabilizing situations, and ensuring issues are properly documented, communicated, and transitioned for follow-up. This role requires strong technical awareness, sound judgment, and professional communication under pressure.
REPORTS TO: Emergency Facilities Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Include, but not limited to:
Performance Expectations:
- Respond to all assigned after-hours emergency calls across the portfolio.
- Maintain a consistent schedule (typically Tuesday–Sunday, 5PM–1AM) with flexibility based on business needs.
- Perform initial assessment and stabilization of emergency situations.
- Execute Fire Watch duties when required.
- Ensure all emergency interactions reflect Thrive’s “Built to Care” standard.
Essential Job Duties and Core Responsibilities:
- Update and complete all emergency work orders accurately and in real time.
- Communicate clearly with the Emergency Facilities Manager on escalations and follow-ups.
- Conduct daily review of after-hours work orders and ensure proper documentation and closure.
- Track emergency calls and provide reporting on trends, recurring issues, and operational gaps.
- Deliver professional, calm, and solution-oriented communication with residents during emergency situations.
- Coordinate with on-call systems (CMS) and ensure proper routing and response handling.
- Support transition of unresolved issues to daytime teams with clear notes and next steps.
- Maintain strong accountability, ownership, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
- Adhere to all safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, or emergency response preferred.
- Custom home building service experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, building systems, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with systems such as Entrata, and Microsoft Office® platforms preferred.

BENEFITS
- Full time, on-site work, bi-weekly pay schedule.
- Paid based upon experience $24 to $27 per hour
- Monthly vehicle allowance $3,000 per year
