Thrive Pet Healthcare Wedgewood is a general practice veterinary hospital located in Nashville, TN. We provide wellness care, sick visits, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, digital radiology, laboratory testing, preventative care, client education, and ongoing patient support.
Our hospital values teamwork, communication, accountability, compassion, and strong patient care. We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, client focused, and comfortable supporting both the medical team and the overall hospital flow.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:45 AM to 2:00 PM, serving pets and families throughout the Nashville area.

Your Experience & Skills
- Veterinary technician license preferred, but not required
- 1 to 2 years of recent clinical veterinary experience preferred
- Experience with safe patient restraint, venipuncture, laboratory testing, radiographs, medication preparation, surgical support, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication preferred
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program is preferred, but equivalent hands on experience will also be considered
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
- Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to continue learning

You’re Willing And Able To
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
- Obtain patient histories, update medical charts, and maintain accurate medical records
- Safely restrain dogs and cats for exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
- Perform or assist with blood draws, catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiographs, and outpatient treatments based on skill level and hospital needs
- Assist with surgeries, dentistry, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery in accordance with hospital protocols and Tennessee veterinary regulations
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns, treatment plans, medications, prevention, follow up care, and Thrive Membership options
- Maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, surgery areas, and laboratory spaces
- Help guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
- Stay flexible and work collaboratively in a fast paced hospital environment
