What You’ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in improving and saving pets’ lives every day by:
- Assisting veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Placing IV catheters and performing blood draws and IV, IM, and SQ injections
- Monitoring anesthesia and utilizing diagnostic and monitoring equipment
- Supporting patient flow through admissions, treatments, and discharges
- Educating clients on individualized pet care, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records
- Practicing safe restraint techniques and maintaining clean, organized treatment areas
- Mentoring and supporting fellow team members
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on veterinary technician or assistant experience
- Proficiency with IV catheter placement, bloodwork, and injections
- Experience monitoring anesthesia
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A passion for empathetic, high‑quality veterinary medicine
- Positive, kind, and dependable
- Motivated to grow professionally
- Committed to collaboration and patient advocacy
