What You’ll Do
Role
As a Kennel Attendant, you’ll play an important role in the daily comfort and wellbeing of our boarding guests by:
- Feeding, walking, and monitoring dogs and cats
- Administering oral and topical medications as directed
- Providing comfort, reassurance, and enrichment to pets while their owners are away
- Maintaining clean, sanitized kennels and common areas
- Bathing pets and performing basic grooming tasks such as nail trims
- Accurately documenting appetite, behavior, eliminations, and overall wellbeing in electronic records
- Collaborating with boarding, grooming, and veterinary teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality care
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience working as a kennel attendant, kennel technician, or animal care assistant
- Hands‑on experience handling dogs and cats (professional or volunteer)
- Comfortable working with pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Ability to administer oral and topical medications
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Basic computer skills for electronic record‑keeping
- Physical & Team Requirements
- Ability to walk dogs frequently and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to assist with cleaning and sanitation duties
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
