What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Occupational Therapist position at Thrive Pediatric Therapy?
Thrive Pediatric Therapy is a private pediatric therapy practice located in Grandville, MI. We pride ourselves on providing highly individualized care for children with a wide range of medical needs through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program, be licensed in the State of Michigan, and have CPR certification (or ability to obtain this certification before starting). At least 1 year of experience in pediatrics is preferred; new grads with strong pediatric experience in fieldwork will be considered. This caseload will include feeding therapy, therefore, experience and comfort with a range of pediatric feeding disorders is required. The applicant should have a strong knowledge base and comfort level in working with pediatric clients with a variety of neurodevelopmental and sensory disorders, such as individuals diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, preemie birth, Down syndrome, etc. Work days are fast-paced and require an applicant who is organized, detail-oriented, and a team player.
