Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documentation of patient assessments, treatment progress, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient care by conducting ongoing behavioral health evaluations and supporting clients through therapeutic sessions.
- Assist with training staff or caregivers on behavioral strategies and intervention techniques to promote consistency across settings.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Proficiency in data collection methods for tracking behavioral progress.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations within a behavioral health context.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.
