What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Spray Technician position at Thrive Outdoor Inc?
We are seeking a Spray Technician who is personable, self-motivated, and can problem solve in a fast paced environment. Technicians operate independently and must strive to make a difference with integrative pest and weed management while servicing residential and commercial clients.
The Spray Technician, AKA "Healthcare Champion", will provide effective communication and care to clients, complete diagnostic reports. Monitor and diagnose to treat insect, disease, physiological, and cultural conditions.
This positions requires the following:
- 1 years experience operating chemical spray application equipment with pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
- Knowledge of tree and shrub species
- Ability to diagnose pest, nutrients, or other landscaping issues impacting landscaping and lawns
- Must posses a positive and professional working attitude
- Ability to handle highly sensitive clients in a respectful and courteous manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high volume, fast paced multitasking environment
- Strong work ethic and belief in personal accountability.
- Must work in a safe and efficient manner
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and meet physical/body position requirements as stated by the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 4.0.
- Workday and hours may vary depending on weather related conditions. Schedule is a 5 day work week which may include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be available, but not guaranteed. A 30 minute unpaid lunch break is required if the workday exceeds 6 hours, two 10-15 minute paid breaks will be provided during the day as necessary. Pay is weekly.

Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Required uniform provided and transportation is provided for on the job travel.
