Role Description
This is a full or part-time, primarily on-site but some virtual role for a Counselor based in Sugar Land, TX. The Counselor will provide individual, family, and cpuples therapy sessions, perform assessments, and create tailored treatment plans. Responsibilities will also include maintaining accurate documentation, offering crisis intervention, and collaborating with other professionals for client success. The role requires adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to fostering positive mental health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and skills in counseling, therapy techniques, and mental health assessment
- Effective communication, active listening, and empathetic interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in maintaining documentation, client notes, and treatment plans with attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and handle sensitive or crisis situations
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent mental health licensure in the state of Texas
- Experience in couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or specialized therapy modalities is a plus
