Salary: Pay Range: $19.00-$23.00/hourPosition Purpose:As a crucial member of our front-line team, the Financial Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing outstanding member service. Your responsibilities will include conducting member transactions, opening new accounts, and recommending tailored products and services to meet individual needs. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about guiding members and identifying solutions through our range of credit union products and services.Roles and ResponsibilitiesWelcomes and establishes relationships by getting to know the members of Thrive Credit Union to provide wow customer service. Responsible for processing transactions in a proficient and accurate manner.Educate new and existing members about features and benefits of Thrive products and servicesOpen consumer and business accounts.Become proficient in knowledge of all lending products and services available at Thrive.Learn the process of taking a loan application, processing, and disbursing a loan.Meet with members one-on-one to discuss financial needs and help connect them to tools and resources.Be responsive to member needs and proactively work to address problems and concerns in a professional and courteous manner in person, by phone, and/or via electronic services including e-mail and text.Provide financial counselling to Thrive members to assist with budgeting and general financial wellness.Exhibits wow customer service behaviors, and adherence to operational procedures and processes.Gain knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.Work as a team to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism with all employees and members of Thrive Credit Union.Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED is required1 year of experience in a similar role preferredCourtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.Must be available to work the required schedule at any of our three locations, including SaturdaysMust have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanorPC and internet proficiencyStrong organizational skills with attention to detail
