About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Teach engaging group music classes and private lessons.
- Help children discover confidence through music.
- Create classrooms where every child feels known and belongs.
- Coach young musicians to collaborate, create, and take healthy risks.
- Partner with families in their child’s creative journey.
Position Details
Position Type: Part-Time, In-Studio
Typical Schedule: Primarily weekday afternoons and evenings, with occasional weekend performances, or special events.
Hiring Timeline: We're building our teaching team in advance so new teachers have time to complete onboarding and training before taking on their regular teaching schedule. We'll work with new teachers to build a consistent schedule as student enrollment grows.
Compensation: Starting at $18–24/hour, depending on experience, musical expertise, and ability to teach group classes and/or multiple instruments. Teachers who consistently exceed expectations and demonstrate exceptional leadership, initiative, and impact have opportunities for increased compensation and expanded responsibilities.
