Guest Experience Manager - Bartender
A Guest Experience Associate - Bartender at Bada Bean Bada Booze is responsible for providing hospitable service while crafting specialty cocktails and beverages and creating an excellent experience for our guests from the moment they enter the building until the moment they leave. Reports to: Senior Guest Experience Manager
Responsibilities
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet and engage with guests in a welcoming, personable, and professional manner.
- Remain calm while listening to guest concerns and complaints, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Order Taking and Preparation:
- Take orders accurately and prepare both cocktails and beverages.
- Present bills, accept payments, and operate the POS system efficiently.
- Make Suggestions and create a memorable tailored experience for guests.
- Bar Craftsmanship:
- Embrace the role of a bartender by learning and exploring cocktail crafting techniques.
- Craft drinks that suit our guests' needs and preferences while having a deep understanding of our signature menu.
- Stay relevant in the industry and be aware of new trends.
- Create new items related to pop culture to easily engage with our guests.
- Always be forward facing and welcoming to our guests.
- Inventory Management:
- Take a proper inventory at the start of each shift to assure preparedness for a busy day.
- Restock and replenish inventory as the shift progresses.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and procedures.
- Date and label all food products. Always remember FIFO, first in first out.
- Ring in spirits accurately for tracking and reporting.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain a flexible and focused approach in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Ensure that the bar environment satisfies all five senses: good smells, clean tables, tasty drinks, great music, and a clean, community atmosphere.
- Assure the space is always clean and ready for health inspections.
- Teamwork and Leadership:
- Be an awesome co-worker, teammate, and leader in all situations, and feel empowered to make decisions.
- Support associates as needed and help cover shifts when necessary.
- Oversee day-to-day quality control for the bar, ensuring prep recipes are adhered to by crew, beverages are made properly and served to high standards, and experiences are created for the guests and team.
- Understand and model how to work effectively and to a high standard. Always be training the staff around you and providing progressive feedback as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the bar.
- Communicate any questions or concerns with management early and often.
- Check 7Shifts announcements, messages, and Outlook inboxes at the start of each shift to be aware of any changes or updates to the daily operations.
- Use 7Shifts to communicate with coworkers, trade shifts, and request off shifts.
Note: This role may involve additional responsibilities not listed here. The Guest Experience Manager may delegate tasks but is ultimately responsible for their completion and success. The role requires adaptation to dynamic business needs and collaboration with various teams for overall success.
Skills, Education And Experience
- Must be 21 years of age or over.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with daytime, and evening shifts.
- Eagerness to learn and expand on beverage knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective time management skills to manage a busy work environment. The ability to schedule and organize multiple jobs is critical.
- Ability to lift, stand, and reach for entirety of the scheduled shift.
- Ability to handle cash and manage the register.
