What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Thrive Community Services?
Thrive Community Services is currently looking for extraordinary employees who want to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
- Teaches skills using a variety of teaching strategies and appropriate materials and assists clients in enhancing communication. Participates in client recreation and leisure activities.
- Responsible for providing community integration experiences; sees that needs are addressed and that skills are taught in the natural setting. Sees that community experiences are meaningful and therapeutic.
- Trains and assists in daily living skills, supervising during client lunch periods and assisting with personal care/hygiene. May provide basic first-aid.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
HIRING BONUS:
- $500 at 6 months, additional $500 at 12 months
