Position of: Floating Maintenance Supervisor Team Lead
Reports To: Senior Floating Maintenance Team Lead
The Floating Maintenance Supervisor Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of up to seven maintenance team members on the TESS (Thrive Elite Support Specialist) Team and serve as an interim Maintenance Supervisor at any Thrive community. The Floating Maintenance Supervisor Team Lead is expected to meaningfully contribute to and perpetuate our purpose and values.
Job Responsibilities:
- MS Coverage (90%)
o Work as an interim MS performing the day to day job functions and assume all responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor for sites that have a MS role vacant. Typical stays at each site could vary from one day to several weeks. (70%)
o Depending on the state the community was left in, this could include implementing policies, procedures, and organization to bring about positive change prior to the new MS’s tenure. (5%)
o When onboarding a new supervisor at a site that was covered, provide support during the transition. (5%)
- Manage TESS Maintenance Team (10%)
o Approve payroll including allocation of TESS hours
o Contribute to TESS Team camaraderie
o Hire additional team members as needed
o Ensure they have the tools necessary to succeed at every property they go to
o Give quarterly reviews and feedback
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Has good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel daily around the Greater Seattle Area
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to dive into new and unfamiliar situations
- Is naturally inclined to be a self-starter; works well independently
- Has well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish highly functional relationships with diverse personalities both within and outside the company
- Demonstrated experience of growing associates and improving communities
- At least two years of property management experience with at least six months as a Thrive Maintenance Supervisor
Physical Requirements:
- Constant need to be on feet, bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulder, climb ladders, grasp/grip, and write.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
