Position Title:               Church Administrator

Reports to:                    Head of Staff (Lead Pastor)

Status:                           Part- Time (20 hours/week - salaried)

FLSA Status:                Non- Exempt

Effective Date:               October 1, 2025

Location:                       Threshold Church, Weddington, North Carolina


Position Summary:


The Church Administrator partners with the Lead Pastor and staff to support the mission of Threshold Church, which is “Bearing Witness to the beauty of Christ for the glory of God and the good of the world”


The Church Administrator will provide administrative, logistical, and operational leadership for Threshold Church to support its worship, ministries, communication and congregational care.


The Church Administrator cultivates order, clarity, and sustainability behind the scenes so that Threshold’s ministry can flourish



Primary Responsibilities


Operational & Communication Support

  (Reflect/ promote Threshold’s value: Serve generously through giving and gifts)

·     Provide first-level/second-level user support for staff/key leaders

·     Manage Connect Cards information. Manage incoming communications through shared email inboxes

·     Manage new contacts information by notifying relevant ministry leaders

·     Add new contact information to existing systems (newsletters, background checks, and workflows)

·     Distribute the weekly Prayer Focus email

·     Manage weekly social media updates

·     Ensure communications channels are clear, current, and effective across platforms


Calendar, Events, and Resource Management

 (Reflect/Promote Threshold’s value: Live purposefully through community

·     Oversee all internal ministry event and building use requests

·     Liaise with Event Coordinator/staff to reserve resources and coordinate details

·     Maintain the church calendar – ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment of ministry use

·     Establish ownership of all events and resolve calendar conflicts

·     Utilize Planning Center tools to link group events and improve event visibility and ownership


Worship Service & Production Coordination

·     Support the worship and tech teams through administrative support

·     Create worship service templates in planning center

·     Load announcements, production team schedules, and worship plans in coordination with staff

·     Set up and post sermon series, discussion questions, audio uploads, and podcast integration

·     Assist with ProPresenter setup – sermon slides, videos, and new song files



People & Membership Database Management

 (Reflect/promote Threshold’s value: Grow through God’s Word and shared life

·     Maintain Planning Center People profiles – resolve duplicates, verify contact info, assign roles and tags

·     Support the Discipleship and Connect Teams with accurate member tracking and engagement flows

·     Manage the VisitorParticipantMember process, including annual membership verification and Session reporting

·     Oversee background checks and volunteer onboarding via Protect My Ministry and Checker



Reporting, Metrics, & Administrative Projects

·     Strengthen church systems through insight, accountability, and process improvement

·     Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reports on worship attendance, membership, giving, and engagement

·     Promote Planning Center dashboards and equip staff with tools for ministry tracking

·     Develop and refine systems for volunteer scheduling, team communications, and resource sharing

·     Explore Church Center app enhancements (member-only content, analytics, podcast channels, etc.)



Ideal Candidate Profile

·     A detail-oriented, systems-minded person who loves helping people flourish through structure

·     Experienced in church administration, database management, and event coordination

·     Willing to become proficient in Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, and MailChimp

·     Clear communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

·     A team player who reflects spiritual maturity, discretion, and a servant-hearted approach to ministry

·     Had tremendous integrity and the ability to maintain strictly confidential information involving Threshold church people and business activities
