Job Title: Inventory and Logistics Manager
Job Summary
The Inventory and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory control, warehousing, and logistics operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and delivery of goods. This role focuses on optimizing stock levels, reducing costs, improving supply chain efficiency, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory control systems
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and plan replenishment
- Minimize inventory discrepancies, losses, and obsolete stock
Logistics & Supply Chain Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee transportation and distribution activities
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping and receiving
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure timely delivery of products while controlling logistics costs
- Optimize routes, warehouse layout, and distribution processes
Warehouse Management
- Supervise warehouse staff and daily operations
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of inventory
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and compliance
- Maintain warehouse equipment and enforce safety standards
Reporting & Systems
- Maintain inventory and logistics records using ERP/WMS systems
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, turnover, costs, and performance metrics
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices
Compliance & Coordination
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, finance, and production teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and logistics best practices
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel/ Google Documents
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
