What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Three Sixty Safety?
We are seeking a Safety Professional for our growing company who would be responsible for maintaining all aspects of a complete Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) for our commercial clients. This position requires a motivated self-starter that has a high detail orientation, IT/computer skills, writing skills, strong communication skills and advanced hazard identification/auditing abilities. The ability to communicate safety program guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines and required elements of the Three Sixty Safety (TSS) OHSMS.
- Implement and annually review and train to policies and programs that are required by OSHA standards.
- Conduct training as required. Including and not limited to Fork Truck, Scissor & Arial Lifts, Lockout Tag Out, Confined Spaces and Overhead Cranes.
- Inspect and assess equipment and machinery to identify unsafe conditions.
- Monthly hazards assessments/audits at client facilities and work sites.
- Assist with accident and near miss investigations to determine the correct root causes and corrective actions.
- Lead monthly client Oversight & Safety Committee Meetings.
- Write monthly tool box talks summarizing relevant client safety activities that need to be communicated to client employees.
- Provide leadership training for team members.
- Hold client team members accountable for the execution of their roles & responsibilities of the TSS OHSMS.
Skills & Experience
- Leadership experience in a safety manager role.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA standards.
- Ability to maintain required policies and programs.
- Ability to perform detailed hazard risk assessments
- Excellent writing, organizational, computer and communication skills.
- Hands on work experience in the manufacturing or construction industries.
- EHS degree or certifications in safety management.
- Ability to present classroom and field safety training presentations.
