What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive initial screenings to understand each client’s history, needs, and goals
- Utilize ASAM criteria to support level of care determinations (without completing full ASAM assessments)
- Administer screening tools and gather relevant clinical information
- Provide clear guidance, education, and support to clients and their families
- Coordinate referrals to providers, support groups, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
- Provide crisis support when needed, including coordination of emergency services
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to review cases and coordinate care
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based approaches in behavioral health
What You’ll Bring and What You’ll Get
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or a related field
- Experience working with both children and adult populations
- Eligibility for Agency Affiliated Counselor status
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
- Solid understanding of mental health conditions and treatment approaches
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation
