Facilities - Maintenance Technician 2

Starting Wage: $17.75 hour

The Maintenance Technician 2 (Maintenance Tech 2) is responsible for performing repairs and complicated maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs plumbing tasks including repair and replacement of faucets, drains and water pumps.
• Cleans drains and associated piping while repairing and providing maintenance of toilets, urinals and automated/mechanical flushing systems.
• Performs simple HVAC tasks including maintenance of filters, belts, pulleys and troubleshooting control systems.
• Provides general preventative maintenance and repair on all types of refrigeration and heating equipment.
• Operates automated control systems including diagnostic, temperature control and resolving related maintenance requirements.
• Performs carpentry tasks including patching, building, repairing structural damage, painting interior/exterior and wall papered surfaces.
• Performs rough and finish carpentry duties in the maintenance, repair/alteration and construction of buildings and equipment.
• Performs such duties as making and/or repairing counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors and building framework.
• Completes carpet and floor installation/repair on multiple types of flooring.
• Operates woodworking machines and uses a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintains preventative maintenance program for all equipment and documents all actions in accordance with department policy.
• Provides groundskeeping support including repair and maintenance of pumps, low voltage lighting, sprinkler controllers and various equipment as needed.
• Ensures all equipment and functions comply with safety requirements.
• Makes recommendations to Management regarding needed repairs.
• Ensures that the facility and its grounds are clean and safe at all times.
• Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

• Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
• Must have 1-year experience in maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable by Three Rivers Casino and Resort.
• Experience in using hand and carpentry tools.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical wiring, plumbing, and portable power tools. 
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
• Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
• Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
