Job Title: Engineer ProductClient: Heavy Machine Manufacturing CompanyDuration: 09 Months (with possibility of extension)Location: Torrance, CA 90503Shift: 1st Shift (with possibility of overtime) Key ResponsibilitiesExecute product verification and validation testing for StarFire GNSS receiversPerform extensive field testing including equipment setup, data logging, export, and analysisOperate and test agricultural machinery in experimental and production farm environmentsServe as the primary liaison with UC ANR South Coast Farm to coordinate GNSS test activitiesCollaborate with engineering teams across Torrance and Irvine locationsSupport testing activities in orchard environments in Riverdale, CATrain and assist farm staff on Precision Agriculture technologies, as neededOversee maintenance, storage, and readiness of test equipment and vehiclesCoordinate equipment repairs with local dealersApply and expand GPS/GNSS fundamentals through hands-on testing and trainingDocument test procedures, results, and findings in clear technical reportsWork independently in the field while collaborating closely with engineering teams Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, or related fieldMinimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating precision agriculture equipmentFamiliarity with agricultural machineryExperience with system validation, verification, and regression testingStrong analytical, communication, and documentation skillsHands-on experience with equipment setup and infrastructure installationAbility to travel extensively and work outdoors in farm environments Preferred QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of Precision Agriculture systemsExperience testing GNSS receiversFamiliarity with CAN bus communication protocolsStrong hardware and field equipment troubleshooting skills#ZR
