Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Horicon, WI 53032
Duration: 24 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, OT/Saturdays likely)
Description:
• Supervise production and assembly operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
• Lead and support production employees in a manufacturing environment
• Manage onboarding, training, and development of team members
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing as needed
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Troubleshoot workmanship and production quality issues
• Implement and maintain safety programs and housekeeping standards
• Monitor department performance, budgets, and productivity metrics
• Administer employee policies, procedures, and work rules
• Work closely with union employees and cross-functional teams
Required Skills:
• Leadership and team supervision experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• SAP knowledge
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, Kanban, JIT, and production systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and accountability skills
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in union environments
• Manufacturing or factory supervision experience
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of CIPP programs
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred
• Associate degree accepted
• High School Diploma with strong experience also considered
Work Experience:
• 2 years leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• 2 years manufacturing or factory experience preferred
