Dietary Aide/Cook

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in an assisted living community. The ideal candidate will be committed to food safety, consistency, and providing an excellent dining experience for seniors. We are currently searching for weekend and evening cooks

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dinner meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining established quality standards.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management promptly.
• Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils after meal preparation and service.
• Wash dishes, cookware, and service items following meals.
• Clean and sanitize dining areas

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a culinary or food service role preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check and finish all required trainings and documentation within 30 days
