- Expert spirit and ingredient knowledge including familiarity with the distillation process, flavor profiles and historical context of spirits, liqueurs, and modifiers.
- The ability to marry ingredients and adjust components to hit the perfect balance of sweet, sour, bitter, and strong.
- Maintaining precision and flawless execution of bar techniques including smoking, foaming, precise measuring and layering.
- Curating and developing new menu including seasonal or thematic drink menus, crafting custom infusions, and batching syrups.
- Expertise in slicing techniques, creating complex garnishes, and selecting proper glassware.
- Creating an intimate, immersive guest experience, engaging guests, explaining the inspiration behind a cocktail, and tailoring recommendations to individual plates.
- Inventory management to include tracking stock, ordering specialty ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Maintaining a pristine workspace and adhering to all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service laws.
- 2-3 years of prior working experience as a bartender or a craft cocktail apprentice.
- 3-5 years’ experience in high-volume, fine dining establishments.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mixology Certification a plus.
- A sharp eye for detail, from garnish to glassware to timing.
- Availability for late nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Remain standing for extended periods of time.
- Bending, squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances.
