Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in a variety of carpentry projects, from framing and trim work to restoration and remodeling tasks. In addition to carpentry work, you will assist in tile, flooring, electrical and plumbing work. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your craftsmanship skills while contributing to high-quality construction and renovation projects. Working alongside experienced tradesmen, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture setup on various construction sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
- Prepare surfaces through caulking, drywall finishing, or painting as needed for restoration or remodeling projects
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Support the fabrication of custom components and assist siding installation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in carpentry and fabrication
- Hands-on experience with various construction disciplines is a plus including framing, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, and remodeling projects
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in demanding environments
- Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in tasks like caulking, trim work, siding installation, and cabinetry work
