Position: Equipment Operator
Job Description:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the safe operation of all equipment on the job site, as well as, assisting in the safe operation of all company vehicles. This position requires a person that is a good team player, that has a strong mechanical background and enjoys working on a variety of tasks, while maintaining a safe environment for both our employees and our customers.
Job description includes routine maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment, dump trucks and standard fleet trucks. This position will require shop based work and occasional field work.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Equipment is installed or serviced in accordance with Three Oaks Contractors, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Check equipment for proper function and mechanical specifications prior to use.
- Assist in the safe operation of company vehicles.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in heavy equipment or machinery repair preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for training requirements.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently, 100 pounds occasionally, and be able to move equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally. The ability to use hand tools when necessary is a requirement.
- Drug Test will be required
- Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot issues and communicate results
Knowledge of safe equipment operation and maintenanceExperience working with the following equipment desired:
Excavators, Dozers, Compact Equipment, mini-excavators, etc and other pieces of heavy equipment.
