Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming breakfast experience for guests, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food service operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hospitality skills in a dynamic environment, emphasizing guest satisfaction and food safety standards. Prior experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not required. The Breakfast Attendant plays a vital role in creating a positive start to our guests' day by providing exceptional service and support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking, slicing, and portioning as needed
- Set up buffet or serving stations prior to service and ensure they are replenished throughout the shift
- Handle guest inquiries professionally via phone or in person, providing excellent customer service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transactions when applicable
- Buss tables, clear dishes, and ensure guest areas are tidy and inviting
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure health standards are met
- Support catering or banquet setups as required for special events or group functions
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest experiences and maintain efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent guest relations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Basic cleaning skills and ability to uphold sanitation standards
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a friendly demeanor
- Experience with coffee service or barista skills is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as necessary
