Bush Orders PIC

Position Summary:                            

The Bush Orders PIC role will involve soliciting, receiving, and coordinating the delivery of product orders for Alaska bush deliveries, while ensuring a seamless and efficient process. Additionally will coordinate an track the maintenance of equipment used, including delivery trucks, while upholding safety and operational standards. Bush Orders PIC will have a role in supervising team members within the Special Orders Department, providing leadership and guidance to the departments success. 

Essential Functions and Tasks:

• Utilizes fax and e-mail to receive customer orders and engages in effective communication with customers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
• Pulls, rings, and palletizes orders to be delivered, adhering to quality standards in the picking and packing process.
• Packages orders meticulously for safe and secure transport to the air freight carriers.
• Maintains customer payment methods and applicable tax-exempt information for accurate charges to customer accounts or receipt of payments in other forms.
• Maintains a comprehensive maintenance log for delivery trucks, ensuring timely and proper maintenance is performed to guarantee operational excellence.
• Calculate and track additional sales tax for remote locations. 
• Projects sales and schedules labor within the Special Orders Department to comply with established and/or directed standards and goals. 
• Drives company vehicle to deliver orders to air freight carriers
• Assist with Liquor Department duties as needed, contributing to overall store operations. 
• Provides support in other store departments as required. 
• Performs additional functions as necessary or assigned. 

Knowledge/Training/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Drivers License required

Pay Range: Starting at $20.00/hr, D.O.E. (Depending on Experience)

• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Working Environment
  Work is performed in a store setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 75 pounds below waist, up to 50 pounds at waist/chest.
