Job Description:

As a Subject Matter Expert I (SME I) on the RS3 UAS Contract, you will provide specialized expertise in acquisition, logistics, and/or technology related to unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This role requires advanced knowledge and technical expertise to address specific functional tasks and challenges required by the contract. You will contribute to the technical direction and strategic decisions of the project, leveraging your unique capabilities and experience. A Secret Clearance is required for this role to ensure secure operations within the contract’s parameters.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
• An advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in a technical, business, or management area, or a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Alternatively, 15 or more years of defense/industrial or acquisition experience in the relevant field of expertise.
• Must possess unique capabilities or experience not available under basic labor categories specified in Section B of the contract.

• Provide expert-level guidance and support in acquisition, logistics, or technological tasks as related to the RS3 UAS Contract.
• Offer specialized knowledge and insights to enhance project decision-making and outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, scientists, and management to address complex technical challenges and ensure mission success.
• Apply specialized knowledge to provide critical inputs to specific tasks required by the contract.
• Serve as a mentor and advisor to junior staff members, supporting their professional growth and development.

• Deep expertise in acquisition, logistics, or technology related to UAS.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in a relevant field or 15 years of experience in defense/industrial or acquisition fields.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
