Job Description:

As an Engineer VIII on the RS3 UAS Contract, you will be a strategic leader, responsible for overseeing and guiding the development and implementation of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This highly senior position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and extensive experience in leading complex, large-scale projects. You will take ownership of high-level technical decisions, providing leadership, mentorship, and direction to both senior and junior engineers. A Secret Clearance is required for this role to ensure secure operations within the contract’s parameters.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
• Minimum of 15 years of related job experience, gained post-degree from an accredited institution.
• Engineers must have received their engineering degree from an accredited program of study.
• Scientists must have received a science degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be capable of receiving guidance from senior-level managers/engineers/scientists and working independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

• Lead and oversee engineering efforts in support of the RS3 UAS Contract, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, project objectives, and security standards.
• Take responsibility for the strategic direction of UAS projects, driving technical innovation and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale systems.
• Perform advanced technical analysis, assessments, and evaluations in areas related to UAS engineering.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to senior and junior engineers, fostering technical growth and development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with overall program goals and mission success.

• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and practices as they relate to UAS.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex engineering projects and make high-level technical decisions.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record in performing advanced technical analysis, system evaluations, and contributing to the strategic direction of major engineering initiatives.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification preferred.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
