What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Data Collector position at Thoth AI?
The role
Get paid to explore your city. Using our free app, you'll visit local places (cafés, shops, restaurants, clinics, and more) and capture a few simple, public signals — a storefront photo, a GPS confirmation, a publicly broadcast Wi-Fi network name. Most tasks take only a few minutes. You pick the neighborhoods, days, and hours that fit your life. No prior experience needed — a short training gets you started.
What you'll do
- Travel to assigned POI locations near you during their normal business hours;
- Follow simple in-app prompts to capture storefront photos, GPS/address confirmation, public Wi-Fi network names, and short clips;
- Submit completed tasks through the app; our quality team reviews them and you get paid for approved work;
- Follow our collection guidelines and code of conduct, and work safely and respectfully in public spaces.
What we're looking for
- 18 years or older, and legally authorized to perform independent-contractor work in the U.S.;
- An Android smartphone (Android 6.0 , 8 GB RAM) with reliable mobile data;
- Reliable transportation — a vehicle is a plus for suburban areas; comfortable walking several blocks per outing;
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable following clear step-by-step tasks;
- Friendly and professional when out in the community.

Good to know (independent contractor role)
This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity: you set your own hours, choose which tasks to accept, use your own phone and transportation, and are responsible for your own taxes. There is never any fee to apply or onboard — money only flows from Createch to you.
