Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems that keep our clients’ landscapes lush and healthy. Your expertise in mechanical systems, lawn care, and landscape maintenance will ensure our projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, and soil preparation.
- Use mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues with irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, and piping systems.
- Operate construction equipment safely during installation or repair projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system specifications for each project.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with irrigation systems or landscape maintenance is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and lawn care practices to support healthy landscapes.
- Experience in landscaping or construction environments is a plus.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics related to irrigation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site.
- Valid driver’s license; certification in landscape or horticultural practices is advantageous.
