Immediate Seasonal Need through May 22: Thorsen's Greenhouse is a growing, vibrant, team-oriented wholesale family business specializing in blooming plants, foliage and tropical. We strive to provide a healthy work-life balance for all employees.
Tasks in this position are at a fast pace and key responsibilities will include:
1) Hand picking/choosing plants and containers to fulfill our wholesale or e-commerce customer orders
2) Placing plants on carts and preparing them for delivery
3) Prep plants, assemble boxes and mailing labels for e-commerce shipping
4) Variety of greenhouse duties such as plant care, moving/spacing/condensing new plants on greenhouse benches
5) Assisting with unloading bi-weekly foliage trucks
6) Will provide assistance to other departments as needed; miscellaneous duties as assigned by department supervisors/managers
Must be able to reach/lift overhead and bend/stoop to lift from the ground. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required. Working conditions will be in the greenhouse and warehouse.
The working hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Working on Saturdays will be required in April and May. Anything over 40 work hours per week will be paid at time and one half.
