What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Sprinkler Estimator position at Thorpe Design, Inc.?
Thorpe Design, Inc. is looking to hire a Fire Sprinkler Estimator in our Multi-Family & Commercial divisions. Experience is not required but is a plus. You will be estimating per NFPA 13, NFPA14, NFPA 20, and NFPA 24.
Thorpe Design, Inc is a C-16 licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor in the state of California since 1986. We have well established work with many developers throughout Northern California and are one of the largest fire sprinkler contractors in the area. Responsibilities
· Review and prepare complete and proposals and specifications to provide accurate details, scope of work and exclusions.
· Make necessary site surveys of buildings and existing sprinkler systems to review pipe and sprinkler head locations in order to prepare an accurate job estimate for Tenant Improvement proposals.
· Secure plans and designs for developing pricing and proposals that comply with all applicable codes.
· Develop new client relations to increase sales volume in the areas of construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, industrial, commercial, and institutional owners.
· Maintain client relationships to ensure that the company develops its customer base and increases its sales volume.
· Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog.
· Maintain historical record of all sales and estimate opportunities and statistics.
Skills and Qualifications
· Must apply innovative and effective sales to maximize performance
· Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards
· Willing to call new customers
· Detail orientated
· Good interpersonal, communications, and leadership skills
· Ability to work as part of a team to achieve the Company’s overall goals
