Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer at Thorpe Design, Inc., based in Brentwood, CA. The role involves designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial projects, creating detailed CAD drawings, collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors, and ensuring compliance with local fire codes and regulations. The Designer will review blueprints, conduct material takeoffs, collaborate with the Project Manager and team members, and provide design support throughout the project's lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software and blueprint interpretation
- Strong knowledge of fire codes, building regulations, and design standards
- Project coordination and collaboration skills with engineers, architects, and contractors
- Attention to detail and ability to perform material takeoffs and ensure design accuracy
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- Experience in fire sprinkler design or a related field is highly desirable
