Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering team with field investigations, analysis, design, production of contract documents, and construction administration services.
- Assist with damage assessment and cause and origin investigations related to insurance claims.
- Perform required field surveys, calculations, design, and equipment selections.
- Prepare field notes, feasibility studies, cost analyses, and specifications.
- Complete technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations.
- Interface and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, attorney, and other experts.
- Assist with the organization and preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
- Review and research applicable building codes.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills.
- EIT certification a plus.
- Interest in mechanical investigation/design of buildings and industrial systems, as well as interest in litigation support and insurance claims evaluations.
- Proficient in both manual and software-assisted calculations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/Microstation a plus.
