Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support, managing the water/sewer teams, and assisting with various tasks as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service abilities, and proficiency in google calendar and Microsoft Office Apps. Preference for someone with plumbing or septic related experience.
Duties
- An employee in this role performs a full range of duties associated with dispatching field technicians and supporting other personnel
- Hours: 7:30 - 4:30pm Monday-Friday
- Answer the phones with a positive attitude
- Schedule stages of plumbing work in a timely manner- running water/sewer connections, or installing the septic system
- Ability to schedule locates with USIC to ensure that damage is not done to utilities when we complete work
- Ability to learn how to read a septic permit to understand the materials needed to complete the job
- Schedule and coordinate septic inspections with employees and septic inspectors, homeowners, and builders when necessary
- Process permit applications for jobs in a timely manner
- Assist others with tasks when necessary
- This position requires a proactive approach to managing office tasks and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
- You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all office operations run smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse employees. -Not required
- Proven experience in an office setting or similar administrative role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willing to take direction and pay attention to details
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic work environment.
