Opening for a long term substitute Math teacher anticipated for twelve weeks starting in October of 2026
Successful candidates will fill a long term substitute role within the a large and diverse Math department
Teaching assignment: Geometry and Algebra II with Discrete Math
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Accountability: Classroom teachers are overseen by the Associate Head, and report directly to either the Principal (middle school) or the Assistant Head for Faculty and Academic Affairs (upper school) in fulfilling all responsibilities.
Expectations of the position — Long term substitutes take on a teaching role by working individually and collaboratively with existing content to: deliver appropriate, meaningful, and coherent learning experiences that match, challenge and extend students’ knowledge and skills; assess student progress regularly through a range of methods; incorporate digital age tools and resources to apply learning to authentic, real-world problems; and utilize best practices and assessment data in planning and delivering curriculum and instruction.
Qualifications desired:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in appropriate field
Two or more years of teaching experience preferred but not required
State certification preferred but not required
