ThornePoint Home Care is seeking a personable, organized, dependable Community Outreach & Client Intake Coordinator to help build relationships with families and community organizations throughout Woburn and surrounding Greater Boston communities.
This is not a traditional desk-based administrative position.
The right person will be comfortable meeting new people, visiting community organizations, introducing ThornePoint professionally, following up consistently, and helping turn community relationships into prospective client conversations.
The position combines local field outreach, telephone and email follow-up, basic client intake, relationship tracking, and coordination with the company owner.
Responsibilities
- Represent ThornePoint professionally during visits to senior-serving organizations, rehabilitation facilities, assisted-living communities, senior centers, community organizations, professional offices, and other appropriate referral sources.
- Introduce ThornePoint’s private-pay, non-medical home care services and identify the appropriate professionals who assist families seeking additional support at home.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community and referral partners.
- Follow up consistently with contacts by telephone and email.
- Respond professionally to prospective client and family inquiries.
- Collect basic intake information and arrange consultations with the company owner.
- Maintain accurate notes regarding outreach activity, contacts, conversations, follow-up dates, prospective clients, and next steps.
- Help identify new community partnership and outreach opportunities.
- Maintain an organized outreach pipeline rather than simply distributing marketing materials.
- Provide a brief weekly report summarizing outreach activity, developing relationships, prospective clients, and follow-up priorities.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Warm, professional, confident, and comfortable speaking with families, older adults, and healthcare or community professionals.
- Strong follow-through and organizational skills.
- Comfortable walking into businesses and organizations, introducing themselves, and starting professional conversations.
- Comfortable making follow-up telephone calls and sending professional emails.
- Able to work independently after training while maintaining accurate records of activity.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally around Woburn and neighboring communities.
- Comfortable using basic digital tools for email, scheduling, and relationship tracking.
Experience in home care, senior services, healthcare, social services, community outreach, hospitality, sales, business development, or client services is helpful but not required.
Schedule
Approximately three four-hour weekday shifts per week, primarily during normal business hours.
The initial schedule will be approximately 12 hours per week.
Additional hours may become available based on business needs and performance.
This position includes substantial local field outreach and is not a fully remote position.
Initial Employment Period
The position will begin with an introductory 30-day period focused on training, community outreach, relationship development, follow-up, and building a measurable prospective-client pipeline.
Performance will be evaluated based on professionalism, consistency, quality of outreach, follow-through, accurate recordkeeping, developing relationships, and contribution to prospective client opportunities.
