Position: Crew Chief
Reports to: Area Operations Manager
Direct Reports: Field Training Officer(s) & Field Providers
Job Responsibilities:
· All duties and responsibilities of a Thorne Ambulance Service Paramedic/EMT
· Provides direction, servant leadership, and support to colleagues and direct reports.
· Prioritizes organizational needs and objectives by supporting the goals and vision of TAS
· Ensures patient care provision and customer service are delivered with a high standard of excellence.
· Advocate for the needs of fellow team members
· Maintains a high level of clinical excellence and professionalism
· Participates in and often directs FTO/leadership educational opportunities
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift, push, pull, and move 150lbs independently (300lbs with a partner)
· Able and willing to be seated, standing, walking, etc. for lengthy periods of time.
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
· Ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-worker, healthcare providers, patients, and the general public
· Flexibility to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for service at any given time while assigned to a shift, including up until, and beyond, scheduled “off” times.
